Non-suicidal self-injury among youth: Perspectives of youth who self-harm, their families and service providers

The purpose of this study is to learn from youth what it is like to live with and manage self-harming behaviours. This study involves interviews with young people with a history of self-harm (14-24 years old) and their families as well as teachers, counsellors,  and social service and healthcare providers who work with youth. Young people also have the opportunity to create artwork of their choice (e.g., taking pictures, recording a short video, drawing, painting, dancing, writing a poem/song, or body mapping)  that represents their self-harm experiences.
